Yesterday was Vacation Bible School at Crossroads Fellowship. We split up with different age kids and helped out in their groups. They did some singing, had a lesson, played some games, did a craft, and then sang some more. The kids from Tumaini Children’s Home attended, so it was fun for us to see them. Another orphanage; Dickson Children’s Center, also brought their kids. We have the privilege of going there tomorrow (Monday) to serve in any way we can.
This morning we got to go to Injilli Baptist Church to worship. This service is in a rural area of Mombasa, and meets where the Good News Academy holds school (we were there last Wednesday). It was so neat to be able to worship in a service done entirely in Swahili. The service was very informal, but quite passionate. The children sang and danced, the adults sang and danced, people got up and shared, and the pastor gave a sermon on living according to the Spirit (Galatians 5: 16-22). We were grateful to have this opportunity, and won’t soon forget the warm and loving people at this church.
Karina and I agree that those babies are SOOO Cute! We are so glad you guys are having a blast and the church service sounded amazing. We love you!!
